However, the first step to rid yourself of the problem is to realize that you are suffering from depression rather than something else. There are some alarm bells you should know to be able to identify correctly that you have fallen into depression.

Feeling tired

Lack of energy lasts many days in a row even though your routine hasn't changed much. You're tired as soon as you wake up.

Feeling Worthless

You can start believing you're useless. You may even have suicidal thoughts and do not fear death, since life does not make sense to you.

Sleep Problem

You may suffer from insomnia or get more sleep than you should. Even after a long night in bed, you still want more sleep. You have no energy and you want to stay in bed.

You have weight changes

You suddenly earn a few pounds or lose weight. You may have an appetite even if you have just eaten. So you feel empty all the time. On the other hand, there are those who have no appetite.

What is the treatment for depression, and can it be prevented?

There are a number of studies trying to provide methods of preventing depression. One of them points out that some forms of depression, especially so - called seasonal depression (intensification during the cold part of the year), can be treated with vitamin D. However, do not start taking pills without consulting your doctor.

Experts recommend that people from risk groups consult with experts regularly. Any disease is easier to fight if it is identified at an early stage.
