Dr. Alexandra Lambert, historian, academic director of “School of International Training” in Geneva is authored by several books and articles in the field of international relations of political philosophy, security policy and civil-military ties.

Lambert has visited Albania and has begun to recognize the Albanian issue since his youth with research in the Geneva League Archive, when he also became familiar with the big issue.

Swiss historian Dr. Alexandra Lambert insists that it is not the case that Albanians at any point in history are not recognised as a nation that has attacked other nations and that many Albanians have brilliantly run both emperors and other states.

Similarly, according to him, other Albanian people have left their name in various fields of science in various parts of the world. The historian next pauses on developments after World War II, expressing conviction that what happened to Albania, with its leaving in the East Block, was an account made by allies who won the war. Finally some advice on how Albanians should act to stick to the majority, where they try.

He says about Albanians in the Middle Ages:

In the Middle Ages, Albanians have given world leaders secular or religious leaders and cultural personalities that cross Europe's borders. Some popes have been Albanians, for example, Clement XI the most prominent of them. But Albanians have been at the helm of world- important religions, both at the helm of Orthodox and Muslim religions.

In history we find prominent Albanian leaders in many European countries, even from those who have sometimes determined the fate of many historic battles (in 1515 was Merkur Bua with Venice's light cavalry, made up of all Albanians who determined the victory of the battle of Marinyan, who history appointed the battle of giants, not France's I*acescu, 19, that those two days of battle learned that the battle was fought.

Albanians have given many prominent prime ministers and generals to the Ottoman Empire (only the Qyprili family gave 5 prime ministers to the Empire). Albanians have given many heroes of Greek independence, of which they are mentioning Quanturiotis, Marco Bochar, Canaris, Colokotron, Karaisskaqis, Bubulina. They were in charge of the Greek revolution, of which several prime ministers of the newly independent Greek state were also led.

Romania has also had a princely family of Albanian origin/Alexander and Vladimir Gjika, as well as Princess Eleonora known as Dora Distria. Francisco Crispi, a friend of Garibaldi, Macin's Cavuri, who has been a great prime minister to Italy, was of Albanian origin.

Paintings like Carpacchi, Albanian etc., humanist Leonic Tome, Kopernik professor and many Albanian personalities have been honoured by Italy's history. Muhamet Aliu, the reformer of Moderan Egypt, whom French history has named “Napoleoon of the Near East” was the Albanian who founded the royal dynasty of Egypt that reigned for nearly 150 years.

The architect of “Tajmalhalit” in Agra, India, the masterpiece of Islamic architecture, was the work of an Albanian, as was the “The Blue Namia” of Istanbul's many important mosques. And finally Albanian National hero Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbeu, an almost universal example of the freedom fighter, honoured worldwide with monuments not only in Tirana, Pristina and Skopje, but also in Rome, Brussels, Geneva, Detroit, Buenos Aires.

Other monuments to Skenderbeun are designed to be set up in London, Warsaw, Melbourne, Manila, and so on. When Albanians have contributed so much to the civilization of humanity, why are few people in the world aware of this, but many have not even wanted to accept this reality?

It should be said that this is also explained by the relative isolation not without the intention of Albanians from the international community, and specifically by the European one, from the Berlin Congress and around it (1878). In fact, after defeating Turks in the Russian-Turkish war, the international press began working to ignore Albanians by changing the name of the former Illyria peninsula inhabited from prehistoric times and down to today by the Illyrians, Albanians.

It was baptized by its new name, the Balkan Peninsula, only from the Balkan mountain range. Why did they rush the Albanians? Much of the conservative European diplomacy has used the term pejoratif “turq” to name all Muslim communities in the Balkans as Turks, even though most of them are not Turks at all. Europe has supported and enlarged the lands of Greece, Serbia and Montenegro at the expense of Albanians.

None of the major European powers has supported the Albanian issue, when Albanians established the Prizren League to defend their fair case against the decisions of the Berlin Congress. They were left in the mud by everyone.
