Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said today that Belgrade's goal is to reduce the number of countries that have recognised Kosovo's independence.
Dacic has stressed that they are interested in the number of countries that have recognised Kosovo under 97, and added that Somalia is on track to reconsider its decision.
“We aim for the number to fall below 97, to be later that half of the members of the Security Council”, Dachic told Pink TV.
According to him, this is done so that when it comes to voting in the Security Council, Kosovo will not have the opportunity to pass.
The Serbian minister is claiming that Nigeria, Uganda and Mali have never recognised Kosovo's independence.
Similarly, he added, 14 countries have so far attracted recognition.
On the other hand, Kosovo's MPJ has consistently denied Dacic's statements.
