A new scientific discovery may give women the hope of preventing breast cancer progress. A group of researchers at the University of Basel, Switzerland, show that they have succeeded in transforming cancer cells into fat, thus making their movement harmless from one part of the body to another.
The team experimented with rats who were implanted with the most aggressive form of breast cancer. Their research concluded that by treating this experiment with a diabetes drug (rosigliazon) and one used to treat cancer (trammetinib) could become an amazing change in the cell.

This combination effectively prevents the conquest of cancerous cells, their distribution, and the spread of metastases. This process, named in medical language “apogenesis” causes these deadly cells to fail to cause metastase, as they usually do.
Scientists believe that this change is a permanent benefit to their patients.
Although the team pointed out that not every cell was able to transform into a mouse's body, the mass tumor change in fat makes everyone much more optimistic. They believe that the remainder of cancer cells will respond positively to treatments like chemotherapy.
