Roma woman who was beaten in several cities is provided residence in Pristina, municipal officials in Podujevo neglected the case

As a resident of the Podujevo municipality, the latter has so far failed to make a settlement.

At the Podujevo social work centre, they say Communist officials have neglected the case.

But, 29-year-olds have been provided with a residence in the capital, since no one in the Podujevo municipality has agreed to have it issued a flat or rented house, KTV reports.

Beie Gashi from the Podujevo Centre has said that Mr. S has also been provided with social assistance.

Mr. S has volunteered from the shelter, the police have brought him to the centre. We have demanded that this girl become a solution much earlier, but the Podujevo municipality has neglected it as the case so far, but now the Podujevo Community has provided a residence in Pristina for six months, until a permanent solution to her” is found, Gashi said via the telephone.

But the Podujevo municipality denies neglecting the case, saying the delays occurred because it was difficult until it was secured.
