But this decision is turning out to be inappropriate. Pristina's Chief Executive Chief of Urban Traffic Lulezim Rexhepaj, says this line has not given expected productivity, and that they are operating with losses.
It says that for a month on this line, only about 40,000 travelers travel, which is a small number to cover the expenses, which according to him are huge.
The airport's “Line is a long-awaited new line, it's not at the desired level, and I am confident that we are operating on losses. But the Pristina municipality pays us. It is the dedication and dedication of the Pristina municipality that has the service toʹlia offers citizens travelling to the airport and will continue to function. On the airport line for two months there are once about 8,000 thousand travelers, which falls by 4,000 thousand per month, and the expenses are huge”, he said.
In the Pristina municipality, 51 buses operate, which are insufficient to cover all lines.
But, chief chief chief Rexhepaj says they plan to buy 30 new buses, but at the moment says they are paying the loan for purchased buses.
Our plans include buying new buses, but we are currently paying the loan for buying these buses. But perhaps in the coming years, we will soon have a plan to buy another 30 buses. Right now we can't expand, but in the future new lines are coming up, and some of the lines will change direction. With 51 buses we will hold these lines that we now have”, he said.
Rexhepaj says that in the context of increasing responsibility towards citizens, they have created a system for accepting complaints and treating them.
We built a system for acceptance, treatment and return responses to citizens in our company. With the office of chief executive in office, I have organized a commission called the complaint commission, which was very seriously addressed by any complaint, concern or request of citizens. ”
The chief executive chief says citizens' complaints have been about bus delays and they have sought to boost new lines, EO reports.
The most frequent citizens' incidents are about bus delays due to heavy traffic, and citizens rightly demand to increase the number of lines, but we are unable to do so with these current capacities. Citizens also complain about private operators, which is not our competence, because most private operators do not respect circulation times”, he said.
He says that even private travel companies have good reports and that they have continuous communication.
However, private companies do not have the capacity to take measures when they do not respect the curfew or other elements related to public service. But we have often invited them into friendly conversations to talk to them about a service as good as possible, otherwise competent is the Public Services Directorate”, he said.
