Although 200 more bags are needed to complete the child's demand, Petrol Company's move was said to be an example to be followed by other companies as well.
Teuta Shala-Nazifi, manager at Petrol Company, said that in addition to the distribution of 100 school bags, another family will be visited today, where bags for another 16 children will be donated.
But the gift of bags is not the only joy for these 16 children, as Petrol Company will soon start building the house for the same family.
And you see, we've enjoyed these kids a lot, and that's also our goal of enjoying the children. We've all been kids and we know what it is to enjoy such a beautiful gift to be bought by someone, so even Petrol Company's initiative was just that. I hope you get a good year, of course, when something good starts, it'll definitely end well. We're not going to stop, we're going to go on, we've done a selection today of another home family, we're definitely going to visit it today, we're going to have 16 kids, and we're going to have bags of them too. Our activities will not stop... of course we will continue with these activities. There were 100 bags we brought here, one part is for kids who stay here while the rest goes for families to come get their bags here, which means those families that have more children”, she said.
Currently there are 50 children living in the SOS village in Pristina, as well as 600 others who rely outside this village.
The responsibility for collecting funds in the SOS village, Albana Zogu Morina, thanked Petrol Company for today's donation, while adding that 200 more bags are needed to be fully met.
It wished Petrol Company's example would be followed by other companies and thus helped children of SOS villages.
“On behalf of SOS children's villages in Kosovo, we want to thank Petrol Company for their commitment and dedication... this is not the first time that have helped the SOS villages in every year we have a co-operation in the card campaign, and this is just an initiative towards our support, since we are organizations that are largely dependent on donations... in order to meet the needs of over 50 children who live here and support close to 600 children who are at risk... we've actually accepted 100 bags from Petrol Company, but of course that we are needed for us as an organization around 200 other bags in order to meet the needs of children and use the case that will take advantage of Jacob's company's initiative.
This is not the first time Petrol Company is being helped to the children of the SOS village but also to those most in need by building homes and assisting them with food packages.
