The country's president, Hashim Thaci, has not yet announced the election date.
Since the breakup of the Kosovo Assembly on August 22nd, the country's president Hashim Thaci has yet to announce the election date.
Despite that, all political parties in the country, exempting the Vetevendosje Movement, have given their stance that elections should be held on 6 October, as by then all parties, but the Central Election Commission itself could be ready for organising early elections.
But even though almost all political parties have expressed their position on the date of holding elections, news.net, learns it is still not known whether President Hashim Thaci will once again invite political leaders to agree on the date of the elections or simply make a unilateral decision and announce it.
Tomorrow everything is explained whether the president will invite the parties or unilaterally announce the elections. It's been discussed October 6th, but tomorrow everything will be explained to”, sources of news.net said.
We stress that since Ramush Haradinaj's resignation from the post of prime minister on July 19th, two pre-election coalitions have been established so far.
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has made a pre-election coalition with the Social Democrat Party, where this candidate coalition for prime minister will be Ramush Haradinaj.
Meanwhile, the Social Democrat Initiative has coalitiond with the New Kosovo Alliance and the host of this list will be Fatmir Limaj.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party of Kosovo will go on its own to the elections, and its candidate for prime minister is the head of this political subject, Kadri Veseli.
However, the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo have still failed to make a pre-election coalition, despite such warnings since Haradinaj's resignation.
While Vetevendosje has already formalised Albin Kurti as the candidate for prime minister, the LDK is expected to publicise the candidate for prime minister during tomorrow.
