Three mountaineers lost their lives in the mountains of Switzerland

Four people, from whom three German citizens died in the mountains of Switzerland this weekend in circumstances that are still being clarified. Four people, from whom three German citizens died in the mountains of Switzerland this weekend in circumstances that are still being clarified. Two German men lost their lives Saturday morning as they were climbing the mountain of Dent Blanche at over 4,000m in the Valais canton.
Other mountaineers who called rescue services witnessed on the scene, but the people in question were found dead. An investigation has been opened to determine what happened.
In the Grabüden canton, a 30-year-old German woman also fell as she tried to climb Mount Fiamma to Vicosoprano. The woman fell about 100 meters and was no longer alive when the rescue helicopter found her.
Also Saturday in the Grabüden Canton, a 66-year-old climber was found dead in the Monte Laura region in Rockeno after his wife sounded the alarm. The police assessment is that he fell about 80m below a steep slope, writes Swissinfo.
