At the Palace of Youth and Sports in Pristina, a football match was held today differently.
The high management of the Kosovo Police, which held the first match, appeared at the gym, which precedes many others to be held for a week in different Kosovo countries.
Kosovo Police Director Rashit Qalaj said the police are successfully serving Kosovo citizens for 20 years now.
According to him, this week, members of the KP will present differently, not as citizens are used to seeing, always officials, and in uniform.
This mark of this anniversary is special for us, since it is the 20th anniversary and we have planned several many events. I can say that sports contests are the best possible thing that can happen to police officers, besides that official, we show that we are people, we are residents of this country, members of the community, and normally depending on the command hierarchy that we have, we compete among ourselves in games, football, volleyball, ping-pong and other sports, in order to be associated with that goal. Also, to mark this day that is of particular importance to us”, he said.
Director The PK also spoke to the media, where it said that in the near future, they are aiming for such joint activities.
I consider that in the near future we will also do a sporting activity between members of the Kosovo Police and the various media, whoever is interested, so that we can get as close as possible, you'll present the success of the police as well as the eventual shortcomings, and also since we have a mission to serve citizens, and you'll also inform citizens”, he said.
On September 6th, Kosovo police mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment.
From today, until September 6th, various sports events will be held, while on September 2nd an exhibition of Police at the Kosovo Museum, which will be open until 9 September.
