Kadri Vessel formalised as candidate PDK for prime minister, only leader who can fight corruption

Subheader The PDK, Hajredin Kuci, at a news conference after the end of the PDK Steering Council meeting, has said Kadri Wessel is a testimony, one of the founders of the KLA, a man who was willing to sacrifice his life for Kosovo's freedom and independence, and today leads concrete efforts for a better future for our country, for our citizens.

We chose a man who gives hope to build a future here. We chose a man who could lead a fight against corruption and nepotism. Kadri Wessel has already acted against corruption and nepotism. He has made bold reforms, starting from within PDK. Because to change the country, we need to start with ourselves. We understand that mistakes have been made in the past. We realize that this has caused many citizens to lose faith in politics. However, remember, the wrong policy has caused problems, but the right policy is the only way to solve them”, Kuci said.

In the past 20 years, he has said the PDK has done much for the country and that PDK people have led the struggle for freedom, the process of independence and statehood.

Wessel's “is now making the long-awaited change. By setting a new ethical standard, he has removed political appointees from the PDK ranks to institutions that had the indictment. He has welcomed the party with thousands of young people and women. Kadri Wessel has appointed new and promising persons to ministers' posts, and each has done wonderful work and an ongoing fight against corruption. We are very proud of our prime minister who is the only one who dares to fight corruption and has the determination to build a better future for citizens and the country”, Kuci has said.

Subheader The PDK, Hajredin Kuci, has added that now in election times everyone is talking about fighting corruption, but only we have the courage and determination to do so.

Others who talk about corruption, according to him, still hold people with charges among their parties.

“The other parties are recruiting people who have problems with the law, our list of MPs will be with non-accusal candidates. None of the leaders of other parties followed the example of Kadri Wessel to dismiss people with charges. Even long before Kadri Wessel's election was known for making concrete steps and took bold action. He took the initiative in investigating the abuse of lists with veterans and cleared government property occupied”, Kuci said.

Subheader The PDK stressed that change begins with fighting corruption, creating equal opportunities to keep young people here and build a powerful economy.

In this election, he has said the main question citizens should ask themselves before voting is: Who is the best leader to fight corruption?

There is no doubt that Kadri Wessel is the only leader who can do that. The country, citizens, youth, all generations and layers need prime minister, who is expected in Washington and Brussels and who fights corruption and nepotism”, he has said.

For this reason, the deputy chairman of The PDK has said Kadri Wessel will win and be Kosovo's next prime minister.
