The Institute, which is owned by Facebook, recently sent a warning letter to the partner Hyp3r marketing company, based in San Francisco, as soon as it was discovered that it collected the information used incorrectly.
As reported by Business Insider, Hyper3r used various tools to collect public data from the Instagram, including posts, profile information and users' locations. This data was then sold to Hypo3r's customers for advertising purposes.

Among other things, Hyp3r collected data from Insta Storys, which disappear after 24 hours and are not accessible through the means Instagram makes available to third parties.
Hypo3r's actions violate our policies,” said an Instagram spokesman for CNBC, while Hyper3r stressed that they have broken no rules.
In the letter sent by the Instagram to the marketing company, the company will be indicted if appropriate measures are not taken.
