Outgoing Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has met with US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costett, with whom they discussed early elections to be held on October 6th this year.
Haradinaj has said that in these elections all parties must devote themselves to a democratic election process, which will empower the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
“At a meeting with US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costett, to talk about recent political developments, with particular emphasis on elections and political maturity Kosovo has shown so far. I stressed that jointly, all parties should be committed to a fair and democratic election process, as well as to empower citizens' trust in our” institutions, Haradinaj wrote in his announcement of the meeting.
Ramush Haradinaj in this election will join the coalition of Shpend Ahmeti.
Haradinaj has resigned in July after calling by the Special Court to interview as a suspect and following problems he had faced with the largest coalition partner, Kadri Wessel's PDK.
