Google has long tested a subscription to application packages for Friday apps users for a monthly fee.
Google Play Pass, as the package is called, promises users full access to certain apps.
A company representative confirmed the existence of such a plan but did not provide additional details. Google Play Pass costs $4.99 a month and promises access to hundreds of premium applications and games without advertising, without purchases within apps and free duty downloads.
Google's tests include mainly playgrounds, but also financial and music applications. This means Google Play Pass is different from Apple Arcade, a payment game service the iPhone giant is expected to launch this year.
The service is still far from formalising from lack of launch details or whether it will one day debut.
