The service was later renamed in Messages and joined reports on YouTube Tasks, but remained exclusive until 2018, when it finally started to appear online.

The function is now officially under way and will eventually stop working on September 18th.

YouTube noted it would focus on its public conversations (times, posts, stories) instead of private messages.
