Germany reacts after the US resignation: “has long seen public positions in Kosovo as gifts”

Heldt, in a post made on his Twitter profile, has said that in Kosovo there are no educated and qualified people for high positions, rather, “but as long as public positions are viewed exclusively as gifts, no one should expect from those who try to help and support”.
Meanwhile, the announcement made by the US Embassy says the US will not continue to be part of an institution where its leadership serves personal and political interests more than citizens.
“The US has resigned from the AKKVP Board, as did the United Kingdom earlier. We will not continue to be part of an institution where its leadership serves more personal and political interests than citizens. The selection of unqualified friends for government positions undermines Kosovo's image and betrays citizens' trust”, the US Embassy's announcement said.
