Germany against Haradinaj's tax: It is unwise to turn good friends against yourself

In his exclusive interview for <x0 Ditore”, at the end of his mandate, Hellbach warns that in addition to rejecting change of borders, Berlin also opposes blocking the dialogue process, criticising the condition the Kosovo Government has made the process.
“abolishing the dialogue implies that both sides approach each other and withdraw from their maximum demands. It is absurd that as the precondition for starting Serbia's dialogue, it is required to recognise Kosovo”, Hellbach says, stressing also that Germany has no “no consensus “for the Kosovo Government-set tax on Serbian and Bosnian goods.
“I say this as representative of a country that is a friendly and supportive country of Kosovo: Kosovo can and should make its own decisions. But it's not wise to turn good friends against yourself --”, says Hellbach, who has given Mrs. Susanne Schütz, Germany's current ambassador to Tirana.
