Germany with new ambassador to Albania, hands letters to Meta

“Albania will continue to rely on trust and increasingly close co-operation in friendly Germany and strategic partners. We welcome the sincere and decisive commitment of Bundestag to help Albania on the road towards the start of membership negotiations with the EU and for our country's progress towards European democratic standards”, Meta said during the meeting.
He expressed gratitude for the great attention Germany devotes to relations with Albania, as well as to developments in the region, praising Chancellor Angela Merkel's steadfast vision of the country's integration of the Western Balkans into the EU.
Forwarding President Meta, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier's greetings, diplomat Zingraf said he felt quite happy to begin his post as Germany's ambassador to Albania.
