They suspect the automotive industry will succeed in meeting the American energy efficiency standards designated for 2025, Kosovo Press broadcasts.

Two thirds of the magazine's 40,000 subscribers have shown low interest in electric and small cars until the popularity of high - volume motor trucks has increased, which increases the cost of material and production because of the tendency to reduce weight.

Although the history of electrification and a radical change in the direction of the automotive industry is constantly being promoted, the fact is that in the first half of this year, out of 8.4 million new cars registered in the United States, only 1.5% were electricity, of which 81% belonged to Tesla Company.

Compared to other forms of electrification (half hybrids, hybrids, complete hybrids), electric vehicles 100% receive greater attention and resources, although not all agree that this is the best solution.

According to experts, the highest short-term potential is achieved with the 48V system.

Participants in research estimate that the industry will not be able to follow standards without business losses, as it will have more impact on choice of design and construction. For example, the most popular automobile - producing material in 2019 was aluminum.

In fact, about 44% of the companies surveyed say they wanted to invest in weight loss by using lighter materials but no more than $2 per kilogram.

However, engineers argue that the weight problem of electric vehicles should be solved by using batteries with higher energy density than by using easier materials to produce vehicles.
