The Euro Mediterranean seismic Centre reported initially that the quake was 5.3 on the Richter scale about 3:00 a.m.
British tourists said that their entire hotel was rocked by the earthquake, broadcast “Tch”.
About 300,000 people were inside the area feeling the effects of the earthquake.
Still no record of the quake causing material damage.
