He believes Mogherin's invitation to Pristina to attend the Helsinki summit invited by EU candidate countries is trying to create a precedent Belgrade would have to accept, which he added, of course, will not happen.
For the first time, at the end of its mandate, Mogherin changed her practice and invited Pristina to the meeting, Daciq told Tanjug, adding that because of Pristina, she had changed the format of the event and said she had invited him and “parters”.
“in an official sense, this will not affect our principled position and will only be highlighted by the name of non-national participants. In essence, this was completely unnecessary, as there are many meetings in which Kosovo participates”, Dacic said.
According to him, the meeting in Helsinki, despite Pristina's participation, will not be an opportunity to discuss continuing dialogue.
“There will be no discussion of dialogue there, as it is a meeting that occurs once every six months, when the EU's chairmanship organises a meeting of the High Representative-led foreign ministers, in this case Federica Moghrini”, Dacic said.
“So far, she has invited them (Pristina) to lunch and now to an official meeting, but changing the name that they are not candidates but partners. These are games, however, that bring no benefit, only bring political damage”, he added.
