BIK will distribute sacrificial meat for 15 thousand families over three days

Secretary General of the Islamic Community of Kosovo Ahmet Sadriu, in an interview for Telegrafi, has indicated on what days the slaughter of the offering should take place.

” Kurban accounts for the animal being slaughtered after the Kurban Bajram Prayer until the end of the tembirs, which is the third day in Ikindi. This is the time when the offering is allowed and is counted as such. Whatever the prayer of Bajram is called before it is a sacrifice, a charity which they have laid off to give”, he has said.

Sadriu has indicated that the price of a Kurban is 120 euros.

Among other things, he has talked about the slaughter of offerings in Hungary by BIK, saying he was forced to take place there.

We have taken the highest responsibility of this task. We have started with a very small number as it has reached an enormous number. Last year we sacrificed them about eight thousand sacrifices. The cattle fund in Kosovo is on the decline, especially after the war. This number of leaders is very difficult to find. If we have managed to slaughter 1,200 heads of cows and at the same time in Kosovo once or twice as many, Kosovo does not have the capacity of two or three thousand leaders to secure within. Then we followed all the procedures. We announced the tender, we accepted offers, we visited the slaughterhouses here. There is no capacity in Kosovo, we have not been offered opportunities to slaughter because this is limited time. Within three days, he has to slaughter 1,200 cows”, he noted.

Sadriu has said the company in which BIK kills the offerings in Hungary is Kosovar.

This year we have signed a contract with a slaughterhouse in Istog that has a limited capacity to slaughter 250 cow heads. And the rest again in Hungary. So this has been imposed on us even though the company that we are slaughtering leaders in Hungary is Kosovo company, the owners are Albanians. The conditions offered to us there are favourable, are of higher standards, because Hungary is in the EU”, he said.

According to him, for the Kurban Bajram BIK holiday, it is expected to distribute the sacrificial meat to 15 thousand families.

“BIK is expected to distribute as many as 150,000 sacrificial meats to the families on these days of Bajrami, but even throughout the year we will be distributed. We also stop it for our own needs, for the students of Medres”, it is expressed, congratulating all the Cuban Day.
