Albanian Language, Literature and Culture Semnar launches Monday

The seminar will gather numerous researchers from different countries in Pristina.

Seminari Director Shkumbin Munishi in an interview for Kosova Prees says the students' interest in learning Albanian this year is great. While he says that the number of scholars who will participate in scientific sessions and tables is not small.

He shows that there are seminarists and scholars attending the seminar for years.

The 45th anniversary of the seminar, according to Munich, will be rich with a range of topics that have fostered the begging of participants.

On Monday at 11: 00 p.m., we have the opening of the 38th edition of the Albanian Language, Literature and Culture Semnar, which will be held from 19 August to 30 August. Preparations are in the final phase and I think on Monday will be all willing to begin with this edition of the seminar”, he says.

Munich says there are a considerable number of participants. As he lets it be known that seminarists come from various parts of the world this year.

We have had over 130 requests from those interested in participating in the seminar. Mostly students who want to learn Albanian. In addition, there are over 70 other scientific workers who will participate in scientific activities, which are organised under the seminar”, he points out.

It shows that under the seminar there will be Albanian language courses at three levels, at the first, medium and high level. Besides courses, within scientific activities, Munich says there will be various lectures and tables to be held by various professors.

Similarly, it emphasizes scientific references.

A scientific table will be organized on the case of the 330th anniversary of Peter Bogdan's death. Another scientific table for the 200th anniversary of Arbe writer Anton Santor's birth. It will mark the anniversary of the death of two prominent Albanologists, American professor Eric Hamp and the founder of the seminar, prof. Idriz Ajetit”, he relates.

He also announces the main topics of the seminar for scientific sessions.

“In the field of language, this year's theme will be the construction of the current Albanian; in the field of literature, the empty theme of the session will be dreamt in Albanian literature; meanwhile, in the field of culture, the empty topics of session will be social networks, politics and etika”, he suggests.

As with other years, Munich says the greatest interest in participants remains in Albanian language and literature.

He also talks about the importance of this seminar. According to him, the importance of the Albanian Language, Literature and Culture Seminari lies in the tradition that this seminar has established.

Munich: The seminar has become the main event in albanology

It's 45 years since the seminar was organised. There are 38 editions of the seminar. Thus, the seminar has become the main event in the field of albanology. Foreign and Albanian scholars, who in their main works, come to the seminar, present their main contribution under the seminar. And then all of this is summed up in works that are then published in the seminar magazine, after having passed the review of the reactors”, he says.

Otherwise, solemn opening of the X Seminary XXVIII, will take place on Monday, while works will take place in Pristina until August 30th.
