Kosovo exiles are continuing to be persecuted at long-awaited border points.
Even in Merdare, according to data from the Centre for Border Management, expectations range up to seven hours to exit Kosovo territory. Columns up to two miles [2 km] have been created there.
Long columns are also on the White Land as citizens wait up to two hours to leave the country's territory.
At Jarinje, four hours are waiting to emerge as columns of up to a mile [1 km] are established.
Long waiting is also in Muciba and in Mutivoda, and the same are caused at the beginning of Kosovo's territory.
For this reason, Interior Minister Ekrem Mustafa has visited the Merdare border point yesterday.
He has blamed Serbia's institutions, which, according to him, are causing expectations across the border, not respecting Brussels' agreements on free movement.
“Colonat at this border crossing point come as a result of the Serbian side, which is not respecting the Brussels agreements, while the Kosovar side is working with increased capacities, problems on the Kosovo side do not, for a waiting car at the point, lasts 3-5 minutes. Also, the Serbian side has not yet been transferred to the new facility of the Joint Border Point in Merdare, which is built by UNOPS”, Mustafa said.
