Why is it important to drink water?
More than 2/3 of the human body is made up of water. We want water for every function of our bodies. But knowing how much water to drink is another challenge, especially when it is hot or exercise more than usual. If you drink some water, you may suffer from serious health problems.
How much water a day?
Under normal circumstances, the amount of water in the body is controlled by thirst and urine products. You're thirsty, drink water, go to the bathroom, and the water cycle repeats itself. Experts at the Institute of Public Health recommend that you consume more water than usual, and do not wait until you are thirsty. According to them, drink two quarts [2 L] a day and eat as much fruit as possible.
