“War” Among gangs in France, three dead police in search of suspects

According to foreign media, two people known to authorities were killed in the shooting in the southern town of Ollioules, west of the French port city of Toulon, police said.

The exchange of fire has also taken the life of a 57-year-old woman, a passenger in a scooter who was caught by fire.

The husband was injured and sent to the hospital. Local media said they were regular visitors to the area.

While reportedly away, the two armed suspects fled the crime scene.
