Why does our conversation in close social circles feel like I have the poorest sex life? This may be a question that bothers you - and ultimately, it is human nature to compare with others! But it's not that easy to calculate this <x0 magic number” (that every time you have sex every week or month) because it depends on a series of factors, such as life - style, health, gender and age.
According to a University Institute study from 2017, people between the ages of 18 and 29 have sex twice a week, those between 30 and 39 have sex 86 times a year, and those between 40 and 49 about 69 times a year.
Meanwhile, another study, published in 2017 in Archives of Sexual Behavior, revealed that married couples or those who live together had sex about once a week, 16 times less a year compared with the past decade.

In a 2015 study published in Social Psychological Science and Personality, couples who had sex at least once a week said that they were happier with their relationships. And surprisingly, researchers also found that more sex does not mean greater happiness. But if you're not getting that threshold either - just don't make sex look like a daily job.
As with most aspects of each relationship, quality is far more important than the amount”, says Dr. Alexander Bingham, a clinical psychologist in New York.
If you want to improve your sexual life, Bingham suggests that you engage “to learn how to please yourself and your partner physically and emotionally... each of us can learn how and when we can help each other have a satisfying sexual life. “
