Remember the last time you took a shower.
Have you taken long showers, or have you simply come in and out without wasting too much time and water?
Yale University experts have done some research and have shown that this answer actually shows how lonely you are.
After research with 51 students, they have shown that students who feel more lonely take longer showers.
According to them, the more lonely the students felt, the longer they stayed in hot showers.
This, according to experts, is because hot water in essence replaces “the real” and removes feelings of isolation.
It is noteworthy that loneliness can mean different things for different people. And sometimes loneliness has nothing to do with the number of friends a person has.
Some people may be surrounded by many people and friends but still feel lonely or bound by them.
