Thaci: With the soldiers the Special has invited, we have protected the people and fought the enemy.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has reacted to the invitation for Jakup Krasniqi by the Special Court.

Thaci says the KLA war has been clean and fair, and that no courts, whether local or international, will tarnish it.

The president, while speaking in plural, says he and the other warriors fought against the enemy until the liberation of the country.

The Kosovo Liberation Army war has been and will remain forever clean and fair. No court, no local or international, can stain it. With Jakup Krasniqi, with other members of the General Staff, the commanders of the zones and soldiers who were invited by the Special Court, we have protected the people and fought the enemy until our country's release. As president of the country, I highly appreciate everyone's willingness to cooperate with justice. By cooperating with justice, we help to conquer the truth about our liberation war.
