Neymar's future in the SPG has been questioned this summer because of speculation that he wants to return to his former club, Barcelona, while Real Madrid's interest has been discussed.
Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartholomew said last week that the Brazilian wanted to leave the League champion 1, but denied speculation that the Catalan club would buy it by saying: “The PSG does not want him to leave”.
But, Leonardo has now discovered that the French champion is willing to allow Neymar's departure if any club makes enough good offer.
“Neymar can leave the PSG if there is an offer that suits everyone. But, until now, we don't know if anyone wants to buy it or what price. All of this is not done in a day, that's for sure”, that's Leonardo for Le Parisien.
It's clear to everyone that Neymar wants to leave, but in football, you say something today and tomorrow. It's amazing, but that's the truth”.
We talked to his representatives too. Everyone knows everything. The position is clear to all sides. But one thing is certain today: he still has three years in the contract with us, and since we haven't received an offer, we can't discuss everything”.
We didn't get any offers. But, it's true, we've had very superficial negotiations with Barcelona. They told us they wanted to buy it, but we weren't salesmen. Bartholomew said so, but we didn't see Barcelona was really in a purchasing position”.
Leonardo's comments came the same day that the SPG announced that they would take punitive action by Brazilian attackers, as he failed to appear for training Monday, even though Neymar's father said the club had agreed to have the footballer stop longer.
He wasn't here for training. He had to come and didn't come. But he knows he should have been here. We will analyze possible actions, as we would for all workers. I don't know when he's coming, all I know is he didn't come in long.”
