The artist has confessed his touching story he had experienced during the war in Kosovo, where he had lost everything including his home.
In his post, he wrote: “I was born in Kosovo and grew up in New York. In 1996 my family was forced to leave home as a result of the political war that was destroying the state. I have seen the childhood home burn down. We've lost everything, friends, neighbors and family. We came to America with nothing but clothes placed in a backpack and some other stuff we managed to save from home. Growing up in New York was a blessing. In a city so different, with so many cultures, I could not help but become involved with the current. I was born Albanian, but New York made me the man I am today. I want to thank all the fans who have been with me on this musical journey, my parents, whose rich musical history has surrounded me all my life and allowed me to have my own voice. Thank you. Everything I do is for you and I wish to repay you one day for every opportunity you've given me. As for my hometown, I'm going to tell everyone what a refugee from Kosovo can do in this great vortex of life. Thank you all for joining me on this round-the-clock trip, Saraqi asked.
