International powers had pressured Serbia to arrest Mladiqi as soon as possible. At that time Serbia was accused of reluctant to arrest the war criminal.
He was arrested in the village of Lazarevo, 80km north of Belgrade.
The Serbian criminal had changed his name, Milorad Commodic. He had stayed in a home of a relative.

Mladic is sentenced to life in prison by The Hague International Court.
