This shows a new interest in France for the Western Balkans in general, and the desire that bilateral relations with Serbia certainly our first partner in the region gives a new impetus to”, he said.
The ambassador announced the opening of a regional office of France in Belgrade to help strengthen the <x0-European connection” and ensure “transition towards sustainable development”.
France's president, Emmanuel Macron, had called a summit with Western Balkan countries on July 1st in Paris, but it was canceled. The meeting, under the organisation of German Macroni and Chancellor Angela Merkel, was warned during a meeting of similar forms in Berlin in late April.
Both European leaders had tried to convince Kosovo and Serbia to continue the dialogue, but the parties had not withdrawn from their positions, follows REL.
