A Facebook spokesman told the BBC that “are working to get back to normal, as soon as possible”.
The obstacles have also been presented in the Instagram and message service Whatsapp. Both these networks are owned by Facebook.
Together, these social networks have billions of users worldwide.
In March, Facebook and Instagram suffered the longest period of interruption. During April, problems also hit both apps, as well as the Whatsapp service.
