Former Kosovo Liberation Army chief Remzi Shala, known as the “Red Apple”, has been interviewed by the Special Court.
Although he refused the Special Court's invitation, he even left the country not to appear at the Court, yet Remzi Shala has been interviewed by representatives of this court.
He confirmed this, his defense attorney, Natal Bullaki.
Ullakaj has said that his client's interview lasted two days and was carried out one day before the Constitutional Court in Prizren declares its verdict on war crimes.
My “Klient conducted the special interview on July 1st and 2nd. We conducted the interview before the indictment was declared here in Kosovo”, Burakaj told the news.net.
Asked what quality the Red Apple “” was interviewed, Bullackaj said that during the interview process he appeared more like a witness.
There wasn't anything concrete that was suspicious, but more like a witness. There was no line to load. I've also searched for the basis of doubt, but there's been something concrete about”, he said.
We stress that Remzi Shala had left Kosovo last year, thus refusing the Special Court's invitation to appear in January this year.
