Private breach risk? Reaction FaceApp

If you look at pictures of friends in social media, you will notice that most have posted photos of what they'll look like when they're older. That's because FaceApp app has now become a global trend and everyone's putting in their photos to see if I can [...]
Still, there have been concerns. FaceApp is an app that was created by Russian programmers. A Congressman has even requested an FBI investigation into the possibility that this app could access your personal data.
But in an official statement from R&D, which created the FaceApp app, it has been shown that most of the processed photos stand on their servers at least 48 hours and then they're deleted.
The app also allows users to request that their data be deleted. This is achieved through option “report abug” which is actually a longer process.
R&D has denied that it transfers photos other than those selected by the user. The company has confirmed that the data has not been shared in any case with third parties.
