Even after the public prayers of the Vetevendosje Movement to the Democratic League of Kosovo for a joint pre-election list, the latter appear uninterested.
Even the Democratic League of Kosovo media official himself had declared that his party prefers to go to the polls alone.
The same has been said firmly by Democratic League of Kosovo deputy leader Lutfi Haziri in a televised debate and other officials of this party.
And apparently, the problem for this potential coalition is the prime minister's chair.
The Democratic League of Kosovo has been publicly declared that in any coalition, the government leader should meet this party.
The Vetevendosje Movement claims the same. So say top officials of this party.
Vetevendosje Movement General-Secretary Ismajl Kurteshi for the news has said that the VV General Council decides about the coalitions, but that there is nothing defined by the LDK.
“First for possible coalitions in terms of Vetevendosje, the General Council decides there, but the issue with the LDK is their policies that build them up. I consider that there is no definition in the LDK and that will be clarified after the 3 August when they will have their own domestic elections”, Kurteshi said.
Furthermore, Kurteshi has indicated that it is up to the LDK's right to decide for coalitions and that there will be no hard feelings.
The “is their issue, they have the right to decide on their subject, there is no hard feelings, because coalitions are not because of love between parties, but because of interest, if they don't see it in the interest of their subject, they are not bound to”, Kurteshi said.
Furthermore, Kurteshi has stressed the fact that the prime minister's issue is the problem between these two parties, as according to him, the prime minister's position, undisputed, belongs to VV leader Albin Kurti.
But there is also the question of candidate for prime minister, because Albin Kurti is the most voted man in Kosovo, and of course, with any form he would meet the prime minister's position, we as Vetevendosje are convinced that otherwise there will be no chance of”, Kurteshi said.
And that the prime minister belongs to the LDK, the head of Peja has said so, and one of the names mentioned for the party's first one, Gazmend Muhharrier.
The vision for the prime minister's post to these two parties is emerging to be the irresolute and unable to solve a possible coalition that would bring the ruling opposition.
