The newspaper “Voice” has sent questions to all member states of the European Union whether their ministers will vote for or against lifting visas for Kosovo. From positions confirmed by the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Slovakia, it has given the most interesting answer.
The visa liberalisation process for Kosovo is continuing not to be finalised despite the fact that the European Commission (KE) has recommended lifting visas for its citizens.
This is as some European Union member states (BE) are reluctant to support liberalisation for Kosovo. Among these countries is the Netherlands.
Dutch Foreign Affairs Ministry officials have indicated that they have requested additional clarifications from the EC on meeting the criteria on the part of Kosovo, specified in the Commission's Report.
On the other hand, Slovakia's MPJ officials have said they support Kosovo's European perspective, despite the fact that this state does not recognise Kosovo's independence.
