Serbia's Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and a Serbian Army delegation were scheduled to visit the Clinical Hospital Centre in Northern Mitrovica, according to Serbian media.
But their entry has been banned by Kosovo authorities.
This has been confirmed for the media by Kosovo Foreign Minister Jtlir Zyberaj's adviser, who said Volin's request has been rejected “because his aim is to provoke Kosovo”.
“There is nothing to ask for in Kosovo, Defence Minister Volin, until Serbia recognises Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state”.
However, former Kosovo Foreign Minister Petrit Selimi has said Serbia's defence and interior ministers cannot enter Kosovo, as he himself had signed it for their detention.
Serbian Defence Minister, known for using racist language, when it comes to Albanians, is complaining that he is not allowed to enter Kosovo. All Serbian defence and interior ministers under official duty are barred from entering Kosovo. I know this because I was the one who signed the” ban, wrote Selimi on Twitter.
