Chili Sauce, a company specialising in hosting events, monitored 10,000 people around Great Britain and found that 31% of them thought Christmas Eve was the best day to propose, following Valentine's Day with 22% and New Year's Eve by 18%.

However, the data differed between men and women, since 33% of men think that Christmas is the best day, 23% of women thought it was Valentine's Day.
