Fenerbahce has distanced himself from reports that he is making efforts to transfer the Turkish midfielder of Arsenal, Mesut Oezil.
The Turkish club has announced it cannot financially afford Germany's former sponsor. Fenerbahce is dating communiqués on the official site concerning reports linking him to Oezil, the Koha Ditore broadcast.
“Mesut Oezil, with his career and attitude, successfully represents our country abroad. However, Fenerbahce does not have an offer for Mesut Oezil. With the current economic conditions, such a move is impossible for both sides”, it is said in the club's communiqué.
Oezil, in Arsenal, has been in place since the summer of 2013 when he moved from Real Madrid. In February of last year, he signed a new contract for three and a half years
