I think it should be reliable. If member states of the European Union do not make decisions, especially on opening negotiations (membership) with Albania and Northern Macedonia in October, I think it would be a big mistake”, Moghrin told REL.
Moghrin has stressed that regional co-operation required to be promoted through the Berlin Process is not the replacement of the EU membership process.
“The countries of the region need to know that their future may be in the European Union if the process goes well”.
The European Council will meet again in October, when it will also discuss negotiations with the two Balkan states, following the European Commission's decision to launch them. France and Holland continue to be the two states that keep the process blocked.
