Macron said Serbia must implement reforms, but also the EU reform itself in order to take Serbia.
He said he would engage in the case of a new meeting that would take a step towards reaching the agreement for Kosovo.
We were very honest in the talks. I will organise a meeting with you, the prime minister of Serbia, the leadership of Kosovo and Chancellor Merkel. France wants an agreement reached. Serbia and Kosovo are European countries and we want this to turn into facts. Our responsibility is to give support to the stability of the region”, President Macron said.
Speaking about the final agreement with Kosovo, “unless it is independent”, President Macron said it could repeat the story of 20 years ago, but must move forward.
I have no concrete answers for you. There is no magic solution. No one has a solution in their pockets. The solution is to you”, he ordered Macro.
