Under the divorce deal, announced by Bloomberg News, MacKKenzie Bezos will receive four per cent of Amazon shares, worth $38.3 billion, enough money to position him 22nd in the Bloomberg firm's billionaires Index.
Jeff Bezos will hold a 12 per cent stake in the giant retail company, worth $184.8 billion, thus remaining the richest man in the world.
MacKenzie said he'd give his ex-wife control of her Amazon share, and leave her share in The Washington Post and the Blue Origin Space exploration firm. She also pledged earlier this year that she would donate half her property to charity.
The Bezos had been married for 25 years when they announced the divorce plan in January. They have four children. /voa
