Dr. John Dowillard, after extensive studies, found that the ideal position to sleep well is the one on the left.
The sleep on your back is not good because it puts too much pressure on your upper back and on the part of your shapes, and leaves the rest in a tight state that is harmful in the long run. Also, by sleeping in your stomach, press your back and neck. The WebMD adds that sleep on the left side is best in providing optimum air flow in the lungs.
