Before MPs, she said Kosovo has fulfilled all the criteria, but does not know when it will be put to the vote at the Council of Ministers. Hoxha added that France, Belgium and the Netherlands have hesitations regarding visa liberalisation for Kosovo.
Minister Hoxha said the introduction of visa liberalisation to the Council of Ministers would not happen unless there is a consensus built in advance. And this initiative she said we expect to take one of the states, not even excluding Finland, which has the presidency's chairmanship.
As far as maintaining the criteria for visa liberalisation are concerned, Hoxha said that so far work is going well even in cases targeted.
Vetevendosje MP Pacolli received criticism concerning the list of targeted cases, while Minister Hoxha told her that the fight against crime and corruption must continue. She said there should not be in official institutions who are on charges.
AAK MP Time Kadriaj has asked Minister Hoxha at a meeting she had abroad, if she has been told that a political subject is lobbiing against visa liberalisation.
Such a case has been said by MP Evgeni Thaci é Dragusha, who has accused VV deputy Pacolli of speaking at a meeting of how Kosovo has not met the visa criteria.
MP Pacolli has asked Thaci to show concrete cases of what the latter has given him. European Integrations Minister Donus Hoxha said that she too has been told that a political subject is lobbiing against visa liberalisation, even saying against the state of Kosovo.
But, MEP Pacolli has asked Minister Hoxha to resign, as she has said, in reforms regarding European integrations.
But, that request has been responded to by Minister Hoxha, who said he would resign if the European Commission meant that the criteria have not been met.
During Minister Hoxha's report, she has been asked several times by Vetevendosje's deputy over a contract the ministry she runs has linked to a lobbi company, which, according to her, will cost Kosovo 152 thousand euros for services the Ministry needs, and these services this company can perform both in the US and in the EU.
The minister has also been asked about how, at the official meetings he has had, he has mentioned the threat posed to prosecutor Elez Blakaj by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj. Hoxha said in no case was this case mentioned at any official meeting abroad.
