The State Council of Quality's decision to discredit the Public Universities in Pec, Mitrovica and Prizren has prompted Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj to react immediately. The decision of the State Council of Quality to close three public universities is not acceptable; the one in Pec, Mitrovica and Prizren. As the country's prime minister, I consider it unfair to deny the possibility of enrolling students, losing them the year. So we will act immediately, taking concrete steps to resolve this” situation. That has been the reaction Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has made a few hours after the State Quality Council's decision to discredit three public universities.
And if that wasn't enough, the first of the government has again reacted to a media conference that hit KSC members calling them mercenaries and mobsters.
KSECA board member Dukagjin Zeka in an answer to Periscop says decisions made are based on recommendations provided by international and law-based experts.
) The KSC, it makes decisions based on international experts' recommendations from ENQA and ECAR, according to the local legal framework of the Higher Education Law and the UA 15/1850, Zeka told Periscope.
Asked what attitude towards Haradinaj's serious statement, Zeka has fully acknowledged and called it a political statement.
A professional who has won scholarships from Uppsala, Prague, Zagreb and Tokyo does not issue political statements, Zeka concludes.
We remember that after international recommendations, the University of Pec, Mitrovica and Prizren is finally set to close.
This decision was made during yesterday's State Quality Council.
Based on the decision taken, Mitrovica Public University, Pec University and Prizren University do not have the right to enroll students in this academic year. These three universities have been denied the right to accept new students because they have not met the right criteria.
