The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, had a meeting with NATO Allied Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces for Europe (SACEUR), General Todd D. Walters, with whom he has talked about general developments and the security situation in Kosovo, the region and beyond.
As the statement reports, Haradinaj has announced General Wolters' arrivals of Kosovo institutions in all areas, privately in that of security, stressing Kosovo's pro-Western and Euro-Atlantic orientation.
In this case, Prime Minister Haradinaj has thanked General Walters and NATO for supporting Kosovo in all processes and for their mission in creating and strengthening peace and security in Kosovo and, at the same time, has demanded further support in advancing and professionalising the Kosovo Security Force.
“Kosovo is listed with the armies of freedom and peace and that the multi-ethnic and professional KSF is advanced according to NATO standards as a security provider in the country of the region”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said, stressing that Kosovo in its aspirations for membership in the North Atlantic Pact is consistent and willing to contribute to peace where it is required by the US and NATO.
