This statement was adopted by then delegates declaring Kosovo separate entities, within the then Yugoslav federation, Kosovo announces.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj says this statement has been the starting point of Kosovo's citizenship.
The July 2nd 1990 Constitutional Declaration marks the starting point of Kosovo citizenship. This day, which gave the new direction to our freedom and independence efforts, is the result of our people's centuries-old efforts to realise the ideal of freedom”, Haradinaj wrote on his Facebook profile, Kosovo reports.
“Grath and men, who seal the will of our people, will be remembered and exalted by generations for their attempt to live the centuries-old dream, independent state”
