“Commissioner Hahn will meet with the Serbian president and prime minister in Belgrade with whom he will discuss reforms that are being implemented on the road to the EU, as well as regional issues”, Tanjug reports.
It is for Hahn to meet with Vuciqi shortly after arriving in Serbia.
Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is expected to be one of the topics two officials will discuss.
Hahn, who has already engaged in unblocking the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, announced he would try again in July to motivate leaders of both sides to return to the negotiating table.
Following Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's resignation, Vuciq and Hahn are expected to take into consideration the situation and new opportunities in terms of the process of tax removal and normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.
In Brussels, one of the next steps towards resolving Kosovo's “problem” is expected to be a September meeting organised by French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, with the presence of European officials and leaders from the Western Balkans.
On the second day of his visit Friday, Johannes Hahn meets with Prime Minister Anna Brnabyq, where she will talk about the reform processes in Serbia, Kosovo broadcasts.
